I don't understand where you get this "lied by omission" bit.
God is under no obligation to divulge to people the consequences
of every act.

How was it "misleading"? The trash *was* a safety hazard.
Sometimes even good Samaritans get hurt. There are no guarantees
of positive outcome for any act, no matter how good the intent.
The school's principal, however, bears full responsibility for falsely
accusing Joan of vandalism.
