I was very surprised, even shocked, by Adam's actions, but I don't think
they were necessarily out of character.
His relation****p with Joan has been very stressful and both parties have
made it that way. I (and I think most viewers) saw at least a tem****ary
break up coming.
Adam wanted something simple and easy and he got Bonnie.
His behavior towards Bonnie was in some ways worse than his treatment of
Joan. Even if she truly was OK with it just being ***, and it was obvious
she was not, there was no excuse for Adam's horrible treatment of her.
In addition to his horrible treatment of Joan and Bonnie, he then tries to
dump everything on Grace, putting her in the middle.
Adam's later actions (towards Bonnie and Grace) were driven by his guilt
over cheating.
The episode was very well acted by all the main players.
I can't see how they can ever get Joan and Adam back together, which
doesn't
really bother me. I was not a J/A ****pper or even a fan of Adam.
I how they don't have Joan fold under the pressure of some future
assignment
and run back to Adam for sup****t.
