Interesting commentary, John. I still like the show, though I'll admit it
has 
changed from that which first attracted me. I am always hopeful that the
new
up and coming generations will find some way in which to communicate with
all
of us...ancient and crotchety though we may be...and I'm thoroughly
enjoying the 
  way high school these days appears to be radically different yet all the
while 
it really hasn't changed at all. Study groups were not a part of my life
until 
college and there were few kids my age who shared similar likes and short
term 
goals. I cannot relive my life with the knowledge I've managed to garner
over 
the years, but I can take pleasure in the possibilities -- admittedly by
way of 
kids the age of my grandchildren! I somehow doubt the screen writers for
JOA are 
that much older than the younger stars!
