To quote Rupert Giles, "You don't give forgiveness because it's earned,
you give it because it's needed." What he didn't add, but applied even in
that long ago (season 2 of Buffy) instance is that it is needed not just
for the forgiven but for the forgiver.
Joan's anger with Adam, while understandable, was festering, and causing
damage to others, not just Adam (and her).
So, they're talking now, although still not an 'item'.
And when Ryan was introduced, wasn't that just the most subtle and hard to
recognize musical cue in the history of network television? ("Please allow
me to introduce myself...")
Now we'll see the extent to which CBS lies in their previews.
