At first I thought that Adam's rescuer was the devil too, but after
thinking about it, its also a possibility that he was another "Joan"
doing God's work and the reason he looked on the sinister side was
because he is not quite as good natured about God giving him "tasks" to
do all the time like Joan is. After all, how many times have we seen
Joan grumble and complain when God asks her to do something, no matter
how simple it is?

I responded to a previous post and suggested that the JOA writers come
up with a storyline that another student would have the same ability to
talk to God and that his/her next assignment would be to help Joan for
a change. I figured that of all the billions of people on earth, it
just doesn't make sense that Joan is the only human doing God's work in
this particular manner every week.

I am by no means saying that the JOA writers saw my posting and came up
with the storyline for "Common Thread". I am only stating that my idea
was on the same track, and that's only assuming that my theory on the
other hiker is correct.

I give this episode a 4.0.
