	Actually we were discussing what the source of the *idea* that the devil
is a 
fallen angel was.  The passage is supposed to be a prophecy, but it has
been 
reinterpreted and misunderstood over the centuries, and here we are.  I 
understand that strictly speaking, Satan should at this time be an angel 
tasked by god to test the faith of mortals.

	The prophecies of Revelation were supposed to come to pass within the 
lifetimes of the apostles.  As a result some Christians believe that
Satan's 
fall has occurred and we are living a world he rules.  Since the fall
takes 
place after the opening of the seals and (IIRC) the sounding of the
trumps, I 
think there would have been some historical record of, say, the seas
turning 
to blood and locusts the size of lions scourging mankind, but theists have

never really been big on things like logical consistency or evidence.

	Where Barbara Hall will go with this is anyone's guess.  I very much
doubt 
she will be any more forthcoming on the true nature of Satan as she has
been 
on the true nature of god.
