You do raise a good point.  I'd like to see JoA renewed regardless of the 
night, but if it's been sinking in a time slot where the toughest 
competition is "Dateline NBC", what chance will it have against ABC's 
"Lost"?  In a case like this, the best thing is to go after a different 
audience.  Depending on what NBC places in that hour next fall (I'm
guessing 
"Dateline", in part because the Sunday edition is being displaced in
2006-07 
by the return of the NFL), most everything else on Wednesday at 8:00 is 
TV-14 fare--then again, JoA's been there, too.  Still, if CBS believes JoA

would work as the only true family-friendly show in that hour, they'll
take 
the chance.
