Honestly, except for "Supernatural" (which needs to pay royalties to
whoever owns the defunct comics publisher CrossGen for ripping off
Route 666 with two male protagonists rather than one teen female
protagonist), Related and the midseason replacements Pepper Dennis and
Bedford Falls, I'm totally unimpressed with The WB's slate of new
series. I think they'd have a better chance for success by ditching
any of the rest of their new series and picking up Joan of Arcadia to
air after Gilmore Girls on Tuesdays, moving Supernatural to Sundays,
with Charmed's 8th and probable final season in the problematic at
7pm and Supernatural in the 8pm timeslot and putting "Reba:
Beginnings" or whatever in the 5:30pm slot of the EasyView block.
Maybe if Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants hits in June, the WB could
at least pickup Joan as a midseason replacement, given that most of
their new shows look to be DOA. The Don Johnson-starring Just Legal,
in particular, isn't going to last long enough to see 2006.

LORELAI: In the movie, only boy hobbits travel to Mount
Doom, but that's only because the girls went to do something
even more dangerous.
GIRL: What?
LORELAI: Have you ever heard of a Brazilian Bikini Wax?
The Joan idea works for me. I can't wait for the first series to bite it
so
we get to the good stuff ... Rebecca Romijn could almost put me off of LG
.... well, almost. >>
You guys obviously don't realize that the deciding factor for CBS dumping
Joan of Arcadia was the fact that its audience skews older. At the
upfront
yesterday, when Les Moonves was talking about the new Jennifer Love Hewitt
series, Ghost Whisperer, he said, "I think talking to ghosts may skew
younger than talking to God." If your show's audience is too old for CBS,
you know you're in trouble. So do you really expect the youth-obsessed WB
to be interested?
