I never thought it was too dark (I like the darkness), but I did get 
th feeling that they didn't know where they were going in the second 
season, so they just tried to do the same thing as season 1, but 
season 1 did it better.

The finale of season 2 tantalized us with a direction they might have 
gone, and I was sorry to see it canceled.  On the other hand, I don't 
know if the show creator would have been willing to maintain a show 
about good vs. evil.

I have the feeling that this Jennifer Love Hewitt ghost show won't be 
as good as JoA, and will probably not last a season.  But that's just 
a guess based on only a tiny bit of knowledge.
