I'm just going to insert myself here to NOT laugh.

Couple years back when recovering from surgery I watched a LOT of reruns 
on TV. The difference in acting from some older shows to newer ones was 
astoni****ng to me -- had no idea when I was watching some of those 
things when they were new that the acting was that bad.

By contrast today even the shows I don't like are a lot better 
implemented.
