"Farscape" got a 4-part mini-series (instead of the cancelled 5th season)
which at least gave the show a closure.

"Firefly" got a movie which will be shown in cinemas from September. I'd
say that's not bad. :-)

"Firefly" got a very bad treatment in the US, the episodes were shown out
of
order (as you say, the pilot wasn't shown until later in the series, where
is the logic in that?) the scheduling was all over the place and then they
had the nerve to complain that nobody watched it. A bit like putting
"Joan"
on on Friday and then complain that teenagers don't watch it. Makes me
wonder why they bother to make any shows at all.

I was never an "Angel" fan so I don't really know much about their
campaign.
They obviously do not work every time, in fact, they rarely do, but there
are the odd exceptions. I believe there is an "Enterprise" campaign going
on where fans are actually collecting money in order to finance another
season themselves. It will be interesting to see if something comes of
it.
