--- Do I have to repeat my post again? Oh, okay, here we go again for
the uninformed, from "'Ghost Instinct' - 1 Yes, 1 No":
I'm gonna kill 2 birds with one stone, sort of.
GHOST WHISPERER
Two things made this one work, more or less. Wentworth Miller [Scofield
of "Prison Break"] as the dead soldier seeking closure with his grown
son and the last tear-jerker filled minutes. Had it not been for
Miller in the role, I probably wouldn't've bought this. And then the
last 10 minutes brought out the hankies in much the same manner as the
climax in the film "Ghost." Love-Hewitt sometimes got a bit too chirpy
for her role, but other times emoted admirably enough. The show's a
bit uneven, but I can sort of see viewers who lap this kind of stuff up
tune into it in a way they couldn't with "Joan of Arcadia." Hell, I'll
probably even give it another view myself.

KILLER INSTINCT
Johnny Messner has about all the acting range and emotional depth of a
stick. What producer thought this guy should fill the role of Det.
Jack Hale? Even his female partner was more lifeless than their dead
victims. The plot itself was pretty lamely executed with the camera
work getting quite sloppy towards the end with its
so-obviously-deliberate jerkycam style but not even doing it that well.
If a cop show can't even do their jerkycam right, can they do anything
about it right? Only San Francisco looked good in this show. This one
reminded me too much of "Johnny Zero."
