It's amazing just how much stuff from the build-day simply didn't make
it into the show -- mind you, they have about eight cameras and they
film for a solid 10-14 hours so there's obviously going to be a *lot*
of footage that never makes it past the cutting-room floor :-)
The Destroyers were all strong characters and I knew we had a job on
our hands to get everything done within 10 hours so I was pretty much
focused on making sure we'd end up with something that would actually
work on race-day.
Nick (the expert for the other team) and myself have actually done up
a CD that has the plans (PDF and DXF/DWG) for the pulsejet and the
turbojet, lots of pictures from the build, safety and race-day, plus
nearly 600MB of videos showing a numbner of jet-powered karts and
other vehicles. Plus -- there's a little "behind the scenes look (in
video) at a yet-to-be-screened episode of Junkyard Wars showing Rossi
and Bobbi Sue at their very best ;-)
Suffice to say however, we all had a lot of fun and would do it again
in an instant.
