Dave,
That was absolutely lovely. Still brings a tear to my eyes when I read it.
Cori was an American Cocker Spaniel, Black with tan points. He had been
originally purchased from a pet store, beaten and returned. Was slated to
go
to the pound but we were able to rescue him. That was 13 years ago. With
us,
he had the most wonderful temperment and was at times the glue that helped
to bind the family together in tough times. Years back, when we had a 19
year old cat that was blind and ailing, Cori would help the cat to find
her
food bowl, gently nudging her in the right direction. One day we will have
another dog but Cori will never be replaced.
Closer to topic (and before I short out my keyboard with tears) I found
several engines at local junkyards to replace the dead one in my van.
Between $300 and $950 so far. Just have to figure which ones will actually
fit and run without any major repair work.
