<<Somehow I have never found Monster Garage enjoyable. Just different
tastes, I guess. OTOH, Mythbusters (Discovery Channel) is frequently
interesting... not so much for the "myths" themselves, but for the build
of
a device on the cheap. Sometimes the science is a little weak, but still
fun.>>
I can understand that there are some people who don't care for Monster
Garage. I personally don't like the episodes of Monster Garage or Monster
House which focus on the conflict among the builders. I want to see them
get down to business and build stuff. But this week's MG has a little bit
more of the Junkyard Wars vibe just because there are two teams working
toward a competition with each other. Unfortunately, only one of the two
teams consists of hard-working, get-down-to-business types while the other
side is a tension convention. I would have preferred two teams of
all-stars
and no drama queens.
Mythbusters is cool, mainly because the two guys have great attitudes.
They
take a reasonably scientific approach to the challenges but it's mainly
all
about fun.
