It isn't exactly Junkyard Wars, but of all the similar type shows this one
seems the closest despite the fact that the teams don't have to scavenge
for
scrap to build their projects.
In this case, the show is Master Blasters on the Sci-Fi Channel. Two
teams
compete to construct some sort of rocket powered device. In tonight's
show
the contest was inspired by the Wizard of Oz. Each team was given a
child's
playhouse (about 6'x6'x6' wooden structure) and they were required to
design
and build whatever was necessary to launch it as high as possible into the
air, make it spin at least 3 full revolutions, deploy a parachute or other
system to bring about a soft landing and, some time before touching down,
launch a mannequin representing a witch and have it land safely away from
the house.
Next week the 2 teams must construct giant size "lawn darts" which will
fly
1000 feet and then embed themselves, point down, in the ground.
