Personally, I'm thinking of constructing a catapult or trebuchet to shoot
something like a dumpling at low flying airplanes. I live about 5 miles
from
the county air****t and some largish jets think it entirely reasonable to
pass overhead at less than 1000 feet. Some are as low as 500 feet. Granted
that actually hitting a plane at 500 ft going in excess of 150 mph is
improbable... but it does make a statement <g>. Easier to shoot a model
rocket but what's the challenge in that. I'm sure that the FAA takes a dim
view of anything hurtling towards a plane.
