Looks like these are all "bit torrent" files (another form of peer to peer 
like Napster)
The client is free from www.bittorrent.com
googling for shows with the 'torrent' keyword got 54 hits.

I have one show attempting to download now. Pittifully slow at about 
2kb/sec. At that rate, should take two days or more... and then just to
see 
what the quality is.

Saw another client for usenet downloads. Haven't checked on it yet.
Anybody 
seen SHC/JYW shows on any of the binaries newsgroups???
