It has been happening for *many* years. Look at the automobile industry,
for
example. Every few years (usually 6 or so) all the big ones (GM, Ford,
ect)
totally re-design there cars. KITT for example, was a 3rd generation Trans

Am, meaning there were 2 more generations before him that look totally
different. Does that cause confusion? Nope. It's the way the world works.
Most people are used to it by now.

Again, I don't see how you would get confusion. For starters, if they
started talking about KITT being 2006 Camero (or whatever he will be),
that
would limit it down right there. All you have to do is glance at the post,

and if you are interested in the show to be reading it's group, you should

be able to tell which show/movie is being talked about.

I don't think it antagonizes many fans. I myself am one of the biggest KR
fans that I know. I have every episode on DVD, I have had KITT models,
toys,
****rts, and anything else you can think of. Will I be pissed if they bring

out a new KR movie? Of course not. Even if it sucks like a black hole, it
still doesn't take away my enjoyment of the original. The same way as I
can
watch the 2005 "Dukes of Hazzard" movie (which, like I said before, was
good, but it wasn't like the original), and follow that by watching the TV

series.

I mean no offence. I just honestly don't see how it makes such a big
difference. Hell, in the case of Knight Rider and Battlestar Galactica,
the
CREATOR of the show's is in on the new projects. If he doesn't mind, why
should anyone else?

You are talking about a *very* drastic change. Soda pop and orange juice
or
two totally different things. Coca-Cola has however (if memory serves)
changed the recipe for Coke at least once in the past, and no one *****ed.

You forgot to add "In my opinion".

They throw the word "Team" in there and you are happy?

All my point is, is that you are the only one I have ever seen who this
has
caused a problem for. Everyone else either likes the new show, or doesn't.

Matter solved. They don't complain about things as the name. I honestly
don't get it. If you wrote the original show, and were proud of it, and
the
new show was basically spitting in your face, then yes, I might be able to

understand that. However, like I said above, Glen Larson is involved with
the new BSG. That should tell you something right there.

Once again, you take something to the farthest extreme. Like I said
before,
you have the right to believe what you want, just like everyone else. I
just
don't see how getting mad about the name of a TV show is going to do you
any
good.
