IMHO, each season has it's great episodes, and it's not so great. I
wouldn't
really say any one season is better then the other.

RC was an 'ok' character, but I don't think the show was any better with

Keep in mind that 'The Scent of Roses" was actually supposed to be the
last
episode. When I think of KR, I always think of "Roses" as the finale, and
if
you watch the episode thinking it is the finale, it really feels better.

And, take a look at some camera angles, and you will see birds flying by
at
what seems to be mach 5. :-)

I can't say for sure, but I think I heard once that it was to be destroyed
after filming had been completed on the finale.
