I'm not up to Season 4 yet, but...

Money, money, money... at this point, the production team was operating on
mostly money vapour at this point, as it was known the show wasn't going
to
be renewed for a fifth season.

Season 3 isn't so bad... I'm personally finding it a very confident
production at this point in time. Some of the crap from the early seasons
is gone (Michael taking each girl out after a mssion is gone, Bonnie is
back...), and the show feels like it knows what it wants to be, and is
achieving it. The stories seems a little more substantial, too.

But it's never been one man. It's one thing to have a super car, it's
quite
another to keep it running. Sure, Michael is out there on the front line,
but how ofter does he pull into the trans****ter for repairs, info,
modifications? KITT is a technological marvel (I have a scrapbook of
ideas,
both hardware and software, of what it would take to make my own smart
car),
but is a machine nontheless. It takes time and money to keep machines
working, and I don't see people lineing the streets offering donations to
Michael. The Foundation is behind Michael and KITT; not exactly a single
person., and occasionally Bonnie is out there on the front line, too.
Think
when she was in KITT with the laser to take out KARR's scanner.

Well, one man, a super car and a whole bunch of sup****t people.
> I also noticed the Lack of Bonnie in the last episode.
She was off filming a movie for that one. Voodoo Knight wasn't supposed
to
be the last Knight Rider.

According to Knight Rider Legacy (where I get my info from), the SPM KITT
actually drove quite well at 80 mph, although bits tended to fall off if
you
went faster. There was some basic wind tunnels tests etc. so it would at
least look believable, yet futuristic.

That is a mystery.
One thing I really like about Knight Rider is the fact that the stunts are
real. That's a real car you see jumping there, not some digital image.
Sure, minatures were used from time to time, sometimes the shots were
quite
convincing, others not so much. But most of the time, it's a real car
jumping and doing stunts. The self-drive KITT looked mostly convincing.
There's a raw element that's missing from TV shows and movies today.
I hope that the Knight Rider movie keeps this feel. Sure, I want a story
that drags me in, characters (and characterisations) that make me care.
But
I sure want to see stunts with *real* cars, not some digitially rendered
wet
dream.
