"KITT" is and always will be a particular model of TransAm in the TV
series - he's a main character in the show, not just some car. They
can't just substitute another model / car just because feel like it.

Except of course that's exactly what the typical moron in Hollyweird is
likely to do since they will want go the usual garbagised "modernising"
/ "updating" of the show and make a silly "remake" / "reimagined" movie
that is only barely recognisable as having anything to do with the
original, other than stealing it's name - they don't give a damn about
the original fans or any semblance of continuity.

One idiot wanted to make the Knight Rider movie, but only as long as
KITT didn't talk ... which exactly sums up the stupidity of the people
in Hollyweird.  :-\
