KITT is *NOT* just a "car". KITT is one of the main characters and that
character is a particular model of car.

If that wasn't true, then changing KITT could mean that you can also
change "Michael" to be some young idiot (probably female these days),
and no doubt that what some idiots in Hollyweird want as well ... and
that simply starts the avalanche of idiotic changes that result in the
usual movies that Hollyweird is churning out some barely recognisable,
modernised garbage that is NOT "Knight Rider" in anything but name.

If the idiots in charge of this movie do change the car, they'll simply
be pandering to the silly "Fast 'n' Furious" generation rather than
making an actual "Knight Rider" movie and most fans of the original
will not want to watch it.

Even if you could change the car, KITT is meant to be a fairly ordinary
car on the street ... something a Koenisegg definitely is not, so it's
still an idiotic choice.

Thank goodness for that! 
Hopefully it will never be made, and all the other garbage "remake" /
"update" movies that are still in the planning stages get thrown in the
bin alongside it as well - unfortunately for actual fans of the
originals, that last part is unlikely.  :-(
