You know, Ed, it's not often I agree with anything "Anybody" says, but I
also disagree with the idea of using the Koenigsegg for KITT. I, for one,
love the 1982 Trans Am. Even to this day, whenever I see one on the
street,
I think of KITT. The same goes if I see a 1969 Dodge Charger, I think of
the
"General Lee". However, I understand that they would have to update KITT
to
a modern car, but why something such as the Koenigsegg? For starters, (in
my
humble opinion, of course) it is not a very attractive car. It looks
sporty,
but IMHO, it looks *too* sporty. Yes, KITT was the "car of the future",
but
KITT was also something that people could go into a dealership and buy
back
in the 80's when Knight Rider was on. Sure, a Trans Am wasn't in
everyone's
price range, but the Koenigsegg is barley in anyone's. Plus, KITT was
always
domestic. GM, preferably. I mean no offence to anyone who dislikes GM, or
who resides in a different country, but KITT was a Pontiac. I was even
annoyed when they made KITT into a Dodge Stealth, even though I love the
Stealth's.
As I said, I for one, would be more then happy to see a 1982 Trans Am on
the
big screen, however, if they can't use that model, then why not use
something similar? Perhaps the newest Trans Am? Or maybe wait until GM
starts rolling out new Trans Am's, and do like Glen Larson did with the
original show. Use the newest generation of Trans Am. The new Chevy Camaro
is coming out in a couple of years (they are building it in the plant I
live
5 minutes away from), and there is a *lot* of talk around here that the
Trans Am will follow.
