The "Knight Rider" TV show is NOT simply an idea of a man, a car and
the name "Knight Rider". It's a combination of LOTS of factors,
including the style, the actors, etc. Changing these makes a totally
different show that is "Knight Rider" in name only ... just as they
have done with every other moronic "remake" coming out of Hollyweird
recently.
Whether the new show is any good or not in it's own right is utterly
irrelevant. If they follow through with this idea it will NEVER be
"Knight Rider" as we know and enjoy it - as such it WILL be a crap
version of so-called "Knight Rider". What it will be is "new Knight
Rider" or "Doug Liman's Knight Rider", a totally different show and as
such should have a totally different name.
Simply plastering the name and vague ideas onto a completely different
show does not make it anything to do with the original.
No doubt the same deaf and blind morons who believe "Ron Moore's
Battlestar Galactica" is exactly the same as the original will not
start blathering on about how good that show is and completely miss the
point. :-\ So I will refuse to even bother wasting time answering
those messages here and now.

Here's hoping that definitley happens. Hollyweird has proven time and
time again that they don't give a damn about existing fans and simply
create a totally different show to grab more money for their own greedy
pockets.
