Spoiler Space...Just in case you don't want to know the plot...
Pro's: The Hoff, Somewhat Cool Special Effects,
Con's: Not enough of The Hoff, Mustang selection wasn't all that great of
an idea, no turbo-boosting what so ever. So the new car can do 300MPH or
whatever with the stupid wing on the back. Who cares? I would much
rather
see it boosting over another car.
I liked the movie, though it didn't seem "Knight Riderish" enough. They
could have at least had the Hoff in more of the movie. He was only on for
around 2 minutes, then gone again. And come on. Would Michael Knight
really get a woman pregnant, and just up and leave? And even if he did,
why
didn't he ask his son (in the cemetery scene) to go out for coffee or
something, rather then just saying that Mike Tracer might see Michael
Knight
again. Anyhow, as for the car, the Mustang was ok. It's certainly not
nearly as good as the Trans Am, but it was ok. I think my biggest problem
with this movie is it didn't have enough of KITT in it. I mean, sure
people
fired 1000's of bullets at him, which all bounced off, of course, but
still.
In the Original KR premiere, they used several of KITT's features. Now, I
understand that having a brand new Mustang jump over a car, and getting
completely destroyed doing it is a financial burden, but come on. The '82
Trans Am would have been just as expensive back then, as the Mustang is
now.
They could even use computer graphics, but no.
Like I said, it was a pretty good movie. Nothing that I would rush out
and
buy, but I would definitely tune in if it becomes a series.
