There are lots of reviews (both professional critics and "normal"
viewers) basically said the acting in the movie was bad, the script was
bad and the idea was old hat, etc. Most ending with phrases along the
lines of "give it a miss unless you're feeling nostaligic".
Personally I haven't seen the movie, but some of the stuff I read
before made it sound like it would be quite good and be one of the VERY
VERY VERY few of Hollyweird's silly "remakes" / "update" movies that
might actually be worth watching for a change.
