For the first time in a long time it wasn't the law that interested me
about this one.
It was the biology.
Ah, the joys of being a dimorphic species. Well, almost. Maybe that
accounts for the tension?
But so interesting to see fiction where the biological imperative is
so im****tant.
Let's see. Dominant males with multiple mates who kick out the
younger, ie less dominant, males who get frisky. And did the actress
who played wife six seem somewhat slender and small compared to her
***ual partners? Or is that just me?
Long ago I read a book that was called, I think, Men Like Mice, or was
it Rats? Oh well, anyway, about a group of humans who lived in the
walls of some giant race. Their behaviors had evolved to become more
like the rodentia who share our homes.
These men are more like lions. I wonder if their women do the
hunting. And wasn't it a nice touch that the wife was willing to go
with the biological father of the baby she's carrying? Less chance of
infanticide that way, I think. God's will? More like Darwin's! But
that's the nice thing about evolution, even if you don't believe in
it, it still believes in you.
Sorta makes you wonder, why do Bonobos have all the fun?
And nice of Jack to let her make that decision too. I wonder if he
can be prosecuted in her home state for letting her do that. The way
he's done for acts done in other jurisdictions that have consequences
in his jurisdiction. Of course with that sheriff enforcing the law,
Jack doesn't have much to worry about, now does he.
Ok, so I suc***bed and thought about the law too.
Still, I had a good time.
