Interested to see in a recent episode of SVU that an Irish gunman was
treated as the vicious thug he was, rather than a "brave freedom
fighter", which is how IRA gunman used to be treated by the American
media. I wonder if the reason is that post-911, a realization has set in
as to the real nature of terrorists?
