The powers are not discreet, any more than Carly Patterson has discreet
powers which allows her to complete double back somersaults. Everything
about Clark is super, but one super part of him which people forget about
is
he has super reflexes. He can respond to the feedback in his muscles
precisely and with speed approching that of light. He knows exactly how
much of his power to use to complete a task, just as you probably know how
hard to squeeze an egg to pick it out of the carton without breaking it.
And, he hasn't made love, yet.
