Lana was flirting/dancing with Clark before Jason went nuts (basically
beginning the breakup process) -- He treated her well. Whitney treated
her well, but she and Clark backstabbed him (despite the fact Whitney
considered Clark a friend and told him to watch her while he went to
war). Lex has always treated her well, but she's resisted him until
just recently. Ultimately, she'll break up with Lex and go back to dump
Clark.

Yes, I have. No girl wants to hang out with a guy that prefers to hang
out in a barn and cry all day, constanly bitching about his "problems".
Some girls will put up with lying, but Clark drives it to an absurd
level. Not many girls like the nerdy guy across the street spying on
them with his telescope.
How many times has Lana offered her unconditional love and her body,
only to have Clark reject it? Not even the lonilest girl in high school
would put up with that for 5 years, much less an attractive
ex-cheerleader girl like Lana. Clark is definitely not a "take charge"
kind of guy. Other than the fact that he had a brief run in glory as a
football player, I can't see why a woman would like Clark.. Oh yeah,
let's not forget Clark almost killing Lana in Splinter. Let Lana just
shrugs it off and believes Chloe's wild theory.
