What show are you guys watching? Naomi said they ( the legal authorities
) found the plane's crash site and that as far as the outside world knew
there were no survivors...Hugo/Hurley is extrapolating from that, and
reasonably assumes that with himself and everyone else declared dead the
money has done what huge chunks of money do in that situation - gone
into other pockets. No 'years must pass to declare a missing person
legally dead' nonsense involved at all. Yeesh!
