Jacob vs. Cooper & re-creation

I noticed that Jacob seems to have a thing about a dog ...Or is a dog...
Or something..

But then when I thought back to when Ben first showed Locke his Dad --
back at the barracks.
...When Locke took off the gag, Cooper bit him in much the same manner
that a wild dog would bite a stranger.  ...I can't recall if Tom or
someone tazered Cooper, but they quickly ****fted Locke out the room.

Then when I was pulling a quote for a response to Ryan, I noticed that
when Cooper was explaining the events of his arrival to Sawyer, he said:

"One minute I'm in a car wreck and the next minute I'm in a pirate ****p
in the middle of the jungle."

    ...Why didn't he say island, or the barracks, or tied to some
ancient stone column?  ..And how would he know he was in a pirate ****p,
or in the middle of the jungle?

I'm wondering if this Cooper is some kind of re-creation (an imitation),
based on some dog-like qualities inherent to Jacob?   Perhaps these
re-creations are like the "Invasion of the Body Snatcher" scenario.
Where they're created, then it takes them a while to adopt the
personality of the individual. 

Could this be what we may be dealing with here? ...A substitution that
adopts the original person's attributes?    Is it possible that Rachel
(Juliet's sister), who was apparently cured by Jacob, is really just a
fabrication that holds the original Rachel's memories?

Could this explain the glass eye, because it couldn't be re-created?
And... Could this explain why Mikhail had 9 lives, and how Tom didn't
even flinch when he was shot? ...And let's not forget Ethan with his
tremendous strength. ...And...  Is Locke such a person too?   ...Jon
