Are you saying that a blindfold would prevent you from figuring out
that you were being taken through a jungle, when you had previously
seen what your general locale looked like, and you could still smell
and feel the things around you?  Cooper never stated how far inland
the ****p was. A jungle can be very close to the ocean.  If you're in a
****p on the water, you smell the ocean and feel the motion of the
water.  If you are taken immediately from a jungle environment to some
interior, and you wake up and see the inside of the Black Rock, are
you really *not* going to surmise that it's a "pirate" ****p in a
jungle?

By the way, Cooper would've been familiar with boats and the ocean.
The photos on his mantel were *all* water-related: kayaking (or
whitewater rafting), fi****ng, and scuba diving.  He was also an
outdoorsman and hunter.  I think he could size up his location very
well from the sensory clues he had.
