S3E9 Isabel: Please have a seat, Jack. As you may have gathered, we
don't live on this little island. In fact, most of us don't really
like even coming here.
I wonder WHY. ;)
What if DHARMA was experimenting on animals to see if they could be
reincarnated as humans, or could transmigrate into human bodies?
(This could also have been done in reverse.) The Room 23 video notes
"Everything changes."
What if they were successful? If you had formerly lived in a cage on
Hydra, would you want to go back there?
We've been given odd little hints about animals, including the Widmore
sign on the Battersea Power Station (the location on the cover of
Pink Floyd's "Animals" album); Jack, Kate and Sawyer put in animal
enclosures; Juliet impregnating a male field mouse and then her sister
Rachel (whose name means "sheep"); Arzt's comment "The pigs are
walking!"; Damon Lindelof's strange comment about Room 23, among
others. Even the cartoon that Jack watched involved a vulture, baby
swans, and a duckling. Then there was "To Kill a Mockingbird." Lots
of little things that had me comparing Juliet to Circe, Ben to the
Minotaur, and so on.
Isabel: I was just reading your tattoos. The 5 and the stars are very
cute. But the Chinese I find a... bit ironic...He walks amongst us,
but he is not one of us. Your tattoos, that's what they say.
There's a scary inference there.
