I'm bothered by the fact that we seem to have two entirely different
sets of phenomena here: Ghosts and time-warps.
First we see Jacob, Yemi, etc., with enough hints (a ghostbuster no
less) that there's something supernatural going on.
Now we see evidence of a space-time warp or something, with the clocks
on the projectile and on the ground going out of sync by 31 minutes.
I would feel more comfortable if the ultimate explanation for what's
going on was either all supernatural or all science fiction. Because it
sure seems like quite a coincidence that the only island in the world
with space-time warps is also the only island in the world inhabited by
ghosts.
I'm sure we can come up with some doubletalk explanation as to why
ghosts like to live in space-time warps, but it starts to sound really
contrived. What's Abrams suggesting, that a space-time warp opens a
window into the next world after this one, so that we can communicate
with the dead?
