I just watched The Economist again and noticed that the
prop folks didn't do very well with the kennels. First,
I've never seen a kennel/cages like that that didn't have
at least some newspaper in them to soak up, well, you know.
Second, with a dog in each cage there should have been some
sort of identifying note(s) on the front of the cages, but
the holders were empty.
No, I don't think this is a clue or a hint or anything
im****tant. I just think someone wasn't very thorough in
"dressing the set." Shame on them.
