That's what I originally thought Ben meant. You could really
interpret it either way:
BEN: Do you want to protect your friends or not, Sayid? I have another
name for you.
SAYID: But they know I'm after them now.
BEN: Good.
Sayid didn't use an alias with Elsa. He introduced himself as Sayid.
I guess since Avellino wasn't around to tell his friends that it was
Sayid Jarrah that was hunting them down, Sayid still felt comfortable
using his real name with Elsa. But now he may *need* another name.
However, we still know that there's a list.
