So Penny's dad won the Hanso artifact auction

Captain Hanso's journal is the only thing in Black Rock survived the
journey. I wonder if Mr. Widmore shared with his daugher the knowledge he
learned from the journal. Or he behave on his own agenda. What do you guys
think?

I didn't pay attention to the detail of the auction which is very
signifcant
on the whole plot until the second viewing.
