Just a theory, based on the timeline issue, but two things this season make
me think that current off-island "Lost" time is the actual present.
1) The time for the rocket to show up.
2) The apparent lack of questioning of Kate how she got pregnant, had a
baby and had it get so old so fast.
Personally, I'm thinking the calendar on the freighter is a decoy, in case
one of the 815 survivors manages to get on board.
I first wondered this because of the helicopter pilot's (forget his name
right now) reaction to Jack's "can't believe the Red Sox won the World
Series" comment. He didn't say anything at all to indicate that the Red
Sox
had won a SECOND World Series, nor did he state a comment about how the
long
drought was over, which one would have expected when discussing the Red
Sox'
first WS triumph. His reaction about being a Yankee fan would only seem
appropriate (IMHO, anyway) if it was indeed 2008, and as a Yankee fan
watching a second WS win for the Sox would have been more of a pissoff.
Just a suggestion.....
