Jack and Juliet - what happened?

Is it just me or has Jack/Juliet's blossoming relation****p been all
but forgotten so far this season - during last season they were being
shown as people who had a connection, really trusted each other and
could become something more.  So far this season they (as far as I
recall) haven't had any scenes other than them just being two regular
people on the island with no special connection - Even if they were
never destined to be a couple, there needs to be some reference to
this, otherwise it just looks like they decided to drop the storyline
to concentrate once again on Jack's puppydog love for Kate, when
before it was looking like he was at least trying to kid himself that
he was not obsessed with her.
