Growth issues are probably one real reason all this time-travel, time
discrepancies and odd behavior has played out in the way it has.
Namely the growth of actor Malcolm David Kelley, aka Walt. When the
show started, Malcolm, was around 12 years old.. playing a 10-year
old, and now he's about 17 years old. A kid grows a lot in that short
span of time. A whole lot. That's why Locke mentioned that he saw
Walt, but he was taller... and Sawyer called him "Taller Walt". There
was probably some time-travel stuff already in the overall plot, but
Malcom's natural growth had to be accounted for somehow, right? Maybe
we'll see an Older Michael as well. Probably as a result of going on
the boat on the Ben-specified heading.
