And now that we've seen the episode, it makes sense as punning on
"cyclone", in German Zyklon, a trademark for a cyanide-releasing
compound.
I can't make any sense of a power station's generating poison gas as a
byproduct, unless it's flatus from that giant hamster. So unless
power generation is just a cover for a weapons operation, I'm going to
assume a more interesting installation. Generation of chlorine gas
would CONSUME a lot of electricity, but I don't think that's what this
was about. Maybe the venting of volcanic gas. Or something having to
do with what I think the island has, a synchrotron.
