I see no reason to believe the promo, because they are sometimes
deceptive on purpose. After all, until the end of the episode, we were
*supposed* to think that both Jin and Sun had gotten off the island
and therefore were both members of the Oceanic 6. Lost is all about
leading viewers down one path where they think they know where it's
leading, and then pulling the rug out.
I think Michael could be one of the Oceanic 6 because I have a
suspicion he never made it very far away from the island. For all we
know, as soon as he got out of sight on that boat, some of Ben's
people nabbed him and Walt and kept them somewhere else until Michael
became of use to Ben. Since whatever he is doing now for Ben, he is
apparently doing it for the sake of Walt, Ben still has some kind of
hold over him. As for where's Walt, I also have a feeling Michael
isn't long for this world so Walt could be the sixth member of the O6.
Personally, however, I am leaning towards Sawyer. He probably has a
change of heart. There aren't many other possibilities anyway--maybe
Claire, although that makes you wonder why Kate has Aaron, and if it
were Locke, that would be very Lost-like since he is the last person
you'd think would ever leave the island. I don't believe Rose or
Bernard would leave without the other one, and anyway they are minor
characters.
Hey--maybe it's Vincent! They better not leave that dog behind.
