What's always bothered me about that casket scene is that the casket
is closed.  Usually when they have a viewing it's open.  Jack didn't
bother to do that and the last time he didn't bother, the casket was
empty (his father's).  The way Jack was reacting, the man in that
casket was well-known to him.  I agree with the people who are saying
it's not an Oceanic 6 person.  However, it doesn't rule out someone
who made it off the island and escaped the limelight.  Since Ben and
some of the Others seem to be able to leave the island from time to
time, it could still be someone on the island, but who left by other
means.
