How long is it (as far as the Losties are concerned) since Michael left the
island? I'm thinking that from Michael's perspective, he may have been
away
from the island for several years, with the bearing that Ben gave him
sending him back in time. This would have to be enough time to explain
Walt's amazing growth spurt. Assuming Ben has the ability to travel
through
space and time, he could have travelled back in time and recruited or
blackmailed Michael in the past to be his "man on the boat" in the
present.
Given what's happened on the show recently, I don't think this is such a
wacky theory and it seems to make more sense than the boat just picking
Michael and Walt up, as Ben wouldn't have any leverage over Michael. If
this
isn't the case, how else could Michael be considered to be Ben's "man on
the
boat"?
