The first part of this post will address only what we know about Flight
815 and the Oceanic 6.
What we know for sure:
Oceanic Flight 815 crashed on the beach of a Pacific Island.
There were several dozen survivors.
Some mysterious but clearly rich and powerful dude faked a 815 crash
under water in which all 324 aboard died. This fake included all
physical evidence, including bodies, needed to pull off the fake.
Six of the 815 survivors, Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Sun and Jin, manage
to escape the island.
Kate brings a child she claims is hers with her.
Sun successfully gives birth to a child conceived on the island.
Jin dies sometime after leaving the island.
Is that right? Do we know more for sure (Or as for sure as this show
allows.) about 815?
What we don't know regarding the above: Exactly why the rich, powerful
dude faked the crash.
What is the fate of the other survivors?
Why are the 6 going along with the fake crash story?
Why did Clair give her son to Kate? If he's that Aaron. Is Clair dead?
What are the implications of Sun's giving birth?
How did Jin die? In fact this is the one thing above I'm not 100 % sure
of. Did he die after being rescued? Seems there were things that
confirmed this. I just can't recall them.
About the episode itself.
Much easier to follow than last week. I even got, and didn't mind the
attempt to confuse, the combined Sun/Jin flashback/forwards. We
learned a lot here and they set more interesting things up.
