Maybe it was written by somebody under the mental influence of somebody
else. On at least two occasions (once in season 1, once in the Missing
Pieces) it would appear that Walt[1] was able to coerce birds into
unusual behaviour. Perhaps he's progressed to bigger things...?

        [1] not explicitly named in the mobisode IIRC, but very much
        implied.
