Currently watching the west coast feed (saw the east coast feed
earlier). Michael's mother tells him "...I can't tell anyone....can't
call you by your real name..." Michael is also from New York and
according to his mother his plane crashed and nothing is wrong with
him so no one would show up to his funeral.
Michael is filled with guilt and guilt is something that causes the
strange behavior that Michael and Jack appear to have but if the
island won't let Michael die and he figured out how to die making it
possible for Jack to do the same. I think Widmore could of planted
that story trying to force Jack to try and kill himself as so far it
isn't confirmed if there was someone in the casket (probably is but
they wouldn't show us in last seasons finalie.
