Just about everyone, including myself, who watches the show Lost will give
a perfect 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. Some would even say this show has
everything from Sci-Fi to Drama, to action and adventure and of course I
would have to agree with them. The script is great and the cast fit their
rolls almost if not entirely perfectly.
This show is really good and it keeps you on the edge of your seat
constantly throughout every episode. If someone were to walk up to me and
tell me they have never watched and would never watch it I would tell them
to just give it a try because I felt the same way in the beginning.
Lost, the television show on ABC was created by Jeffrey Lieber, J.J.
Abrams and Damon Lindelof and is directed by Jack Bender, Stephen Williams
and Eric Laneuville. The show is filmed in beautiful Ohau, Hawaii. The
show is currently in its fourth season with at least 2 seasons to go. The
show´s pilot was the most costly pilot made in years if not in history.
The show is about the Oceanic Flight 815 plane crash and its passengers
that have to learn to live together and help each other after surviving
the crash in the Pacific Ocean. While stuck on the island, the survivors
run into many things like a smoke monster, polar bears and island
residents known as "the others". They also find houses and research
centers that where put there by a research group that was on the island no
too long before called the Dharma Initiative.
The cast for the show Lost is excellent and consists of many talented
actors. The ex Iraqi Army Officer Sayid Jarrah is played by Naveen
Andrews. Claire Littleton, played by Emilie de Ravin, was pregnant and on
her way to giver her baby up for adoption when the plane crashed. Jack
Shepard, played by Matthew Fox, is a spinal surgeon who was on his way to
LA, taking his father´s body back to be put to rest.
Hugo "Hurley" Reyes had won the lottery and was visiting a woman in
Australia when on his way back home to LA the plane crashed. Hurley is
probably the most loveable character in the show and is played by Jorge
Garcia. James "Sawyer" Ford was ordered back to LA getting into a fight in
a bar and head butting the Australian Minister of Agriculture.
Jin-Soo Kwon, played by Daniel Dae Kim is the non-english speaking,
husband of Sun-Hwa Kwon. Sun, played by Yunjin Kim, is the daughter of a
highly powerful Korean mobster and respected businessman. Kate Auston is a
fugitive and is played by Evangeline Lilly and Terry O´Quinn plays the
mysterious John Locke.
Mary McNamara from the LA Times wrote this in her 2008 review of the new
season of Lost: "The show is crazy, man, now more than ever, and I mean
that in the best possible way. Crazy like a really big roller coaster, the
kind that goes backward, or the first time you have a full-on,
drama-delicious blowout with your lover in public. An hour's worth of
emotion-churning chemical dump right in the old brain stem -- horror,
hysteria, regret and adrenaline.
